Introducing our incredibly talented Chiffon, Crystal and Ronette- Here is what Chiffon had to say about the show.
I play one of three street urchins who offer commentary on the story’s events and themes. The rehearsals have been fun, exciting and lots of hard work, from dance numbers to singing calls everyone puts in 100%. My favourite number would have to be Meek Shall Inherit because in this number you see how different each Ronette is, and overall, it’s a really fun song to do.
One of my favourite moments in rehearsals would be when Rachel, Juliet and I got to help teach everyone the opening dance number- it really allowed me to get to know different members of the cast.
People should come and see this performance as it’s entertaining and it’s something everyone would love and enjoy. It’s got great songs, fun dance numbers and an amazing live band which will be doing all of our music. Everyone involved has put in so much work, not just the performers but also the tech crew who made and helped put together Audrey 2 and the music and drama department who helped with all of our songs so that we look and sound fantastic on stage.

Activities: Gorge Walking & Zip Wire
Two groups of students visited G2 adventures at Alvie Gorge for activities week, on Wednesday the students enjoyed gorge walking which involved water chutes and plunge pools and on Thursday they were flying through the air on the zip wires. A great time was had by all.

Activities: The Ledge
We had a great session at The Ledge. Pupil did bouldering, top roping, lead climbing, belaying, abseiling and lots of team work. Some of us had tried it before and for others it was a new experience. All pupils got fully involved with the tasks they were set by the leaders. Thanks to the pupils and staff at The Ledge for a great morning.

Activities: From Wobbles to Waves
Culloden Academy pupils enjoyed their first surf lesson in sunny Sandend, with fantastic weather and even better enthusiasm! Everyone stepped out of their comfort zones, showing great resilience and perseverance. A few even managed to stand on their boards by the end! It was an unforgettable experience and a brilliant few days out for all involved. Well done, surfers!

Watersports Trip
After two tiring days of travelling we arrived at our accommodation in the Ardeche, and had a night swim in the pool.
Day 1 was filled with a high ropes course, archery tag and swimming!
Day 2 was some pretty adventurous canyoning with a zip line over the gorge to finish, followed by a visit to Vallon for some ice cream and a browse around the town. The last two days have really pushed some pupils out of their comfort zone and they’ve risen to the challenge! We’ve also seen some brilliant teamwork.

Activities: Hill Walking
13 boys enjoyed glorious weather for their free bus trip to Aviemore, then Glenmore, to climb the Corbett, Meall A’Bhuachaille. The Green Lochan was glistening, a brief stop at Ryvoan to learn about mountain bothies, great views and a rapid descent back to the Reindeer Centre. Well done all! Your hill fitness was very impressive! Mrs Muirhead, Mr Airey and Mr Roriston

Activities: Alpaca Trek
The weather was perfect for our activities week alpaca trek last Friday. After a short introduction from the trek leader, the pupils led their alpacas down to the shore of Loch Ness where they were treated to some alpaca kisses. We then trekked back through the woods to their grazing field and were lucky to be treated to seeing the alpacas cool down in the loch just before we left. Thank you to Loch Ness Alpacas for accommodating us. A fantastic time was had by all!

Little Shop of Horrors

This week, we Introduce Mr Mushnik played by Scott Reid.
“I was honestly surprised to get this role—I’ve never been in a musical before, so this is a huge step for me. I saw this character as a gateway into the world of musicals.
Rehearsals have been very explorative. Often, unexpected things happen that end up being added in because they work so well. My favorite moment was during the “Feed Me” rehearsal when Jacob, who plays Seymour, jumped off the rostra at the end of the song and accidentally fell. It was so funny that our director decided to keep it in.
This role has pushed me to explore new aspects of acting, especially working with accents—something I hadn’t done in all my years studying drama. It’s been challenging but I am loving every second.”

Activities: Loch Insh
Everyone had a great day at Loch Insh. It was the perfect weather for students (and teachers!) to do some canoeing and have great fun on the Jungle Float.
