Senior Football Success

The Senior Boys football team are through to the 3rd round of the Scottish Schools Shield competition after a 4-2 home win against Inverurie Academy. An early goal from Fionn Larnach put Culloden 1-0 up in a first half which saw Culloden control the majority of possession and create some excellent chances to extend their lead. However, it was Inverurie who started the brighter in the 2nd half and they grabbed an equaliser straight after the restart. Up stepped Oscar Beattie however and his man-of-the match hat-trick in a 35 minute spell saw Culloden go ahead twice before finishing the game off to seal a superb win. Final score, Culloden 4 – 2 Inverurie. The next round sees the team travel away to Kircaldy High on Thursday 19th February, with the winners then travelling away to face Notre Dame High, in Greenock.

Children’s Mental Health Week

Our sense of belonging as individuals, in our friendships, in school, and in communities plays a vital role in our mental health and wellbeing.

To know our place and really feel part of our environment is a basic human need. It can have powerful and long-lasting impacts in lots of areas of our lives, including our physical and mental health, education, employment and relationships. When we feel that we belong, it empowers us to contribute to the world and make a real difference.

This year, Place2Be’s Children’s Mental Health Week aims to support the groups and systems surrounding children. They encourage peers, families, schools and communities to create inclusive and nurturing environments, where children and young people feel they belong and can say “This is My Place”. See the link for more information.
