The S6 Young Enterprise team won the Environmental Award at the YE Christmas Fair on Saturday, which was held at the Eastgate Centre. Their draught excluders made from recycled materials were a great success.  Well done! 

The Library and English department hosted the Wellbeing Café on Monday for their final gathering of the year. The festivities and relaxing atmosphere was enjoyed by all! Merry Christmas.

Our National 5 Chemists have been using their acid and base knowledge to create colourful droplet Christmas Trees at the end of term. A lot of focus and concentration went into these (along with some ‘Van Gogh inspiration’ – we’ll let you guess which ones were the prize winners!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making our first Christmas Fayre such a tremendous success! Not only did we create a fantastic festive atmosphere, but we also raised over £600 for the school and supported numerous local businesses and community groups. We’re already looking forward to next year, aiming to make it even bigger and better!

Our Early Learning and Childcare class had another great session this morning with the Fire Brigade who came to talk to them about home safety as part of the pupils Caring for Children unit.  They learnt about how to reduce risks at home and extra hazards to be aware of when there are babies and young children in the house.  Great seeing the young people have the opportunity to put their theory into practice.
