We will also explain SQA’s processes and then we have heads of department coming from most departments to talk about the new courses that are on offer. Thereafter there will be a short presentation about how Guidance can help your child at this time. This part of the evening will finish with a chance to ask questions of the heads of department or senior managers to get more detail.

The Barn Church car park used by some parents to pick up and dop off pupils will be unavailable to all from late February for 6/8 weeks. In the interest of safety, children who currently walk up and down the drive way should follow the Gruffalo path at the back of the Church as there will be heavy machinery moving around.Following this work the Barn Church will have a carpark fit for purpose with 70 spaces and no muddy field. The driveway into the Church is a public walk way belonging to the council and is not intended for parking on.
The English Department and Library hosted a “book speed dating” event at lunchtime on Tuesday where pupils sampled some of the new stock before it hits the library shelves. Pupils spent a short amount of time getting to know a potential new read before giving it a quick review and moving onto their next “book date”. Love was definitely in the air for many of the new books! We have also added a “book blind date section” in the library for those who prefer a bit of mystery in their reading!
