Skills Building with the Army

Last week some of our fab Senior PE & UES students took part in an exciting skills-building engagement delivered across two sessions by the British Army.

Working their way around a round-robin of four practical challenges, every student had the opportunity to participate in all four activities, putting a range of valuable employability skills to the test.

From moving toxic waste as a team, relying on clear communication, collaboration and problem-solving, to the ultimate challenge of bomb disposal, our students threw themselves into every task and did absolutely brilliantly!

Activities like these provide a fantastic opportunity to develop transferable skills, build confidence and experience the importance of working together under pressure.

A HUGE thank you to the British Army’s RLC CET Team and SCOTS IET for delivering such an engaging and memorable experience for our young people. We really appreciate your time, expertise and enthusiasm!
