This year, three Culloden Academy pupils were awarded certificates for their performance in the Scottish Mathematical Council’s Maths Challenge. These pupils were invited to an awards ceremony on Monday 9th June in Aberdeen University where they listened to a lecture on the maths behind the game ‘Dobble’, before being awarded their certificates and the famous SMC Maths Challenge mug!
Congratulations to Roni Brady for achieving Gold and Micah Macdonald and Charlene Yeung for their Silver awards.
They are pictured here with the special guest on the day, Andy Brown, who is special advisor for mathematics to the Scottish Government, and is also a former pupil of Culloden Academy.
