Young Ambassadors

Jamie Carson and Charlotte Hill are the new ambassadors for Culloden Academy from this year’s SportScotland Conference.

The Young Ambassador programme is for young people in school between the ages of 14 and 17. Their role is to motivate and inspire other young people from primary and secondary schools across Scotland to get involved in sport within their schools.

The key role of a Young Ambassador is to motivate and inspire other young people to participate in sport. This can be achieved by:

  • Raising awareness of opportunities to participate in sport in schools, clubs and community sport hubs eg. assembly talks, encouraging Young leaders to deliver new clubs
  • Promoting an active lifestyle
  • Raising awareness and using the excitement of all major sporting events eg. Rugby World Cup promotion
